I just took my beloved nearly 18 year old cat to see Dr. Greg Carlton at Vergennes Animal Hospital during the Covid Crisis. He had blood work and a full exam. My cat came home like nothing happened and I was very happy with how we were treated. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Carlton and I trust him with my animals. We also use Dr. Anja Wurm for home visits and love her too. Thank you Vergennes Animal Hospital. Their whole staff has been amazing!!!

All of the vets and staff are very compassionate, and knowledgeable individuals. You are treated like family when you enter the front doors. This is not my usual for veterinary care. My dog had been brought here by my dog-sitting friend while I was gone so I decided to come back as they were who treated her in the first place for the split nail. The issue arose again due to a very active pup who doesn’t like to sit still. I was very impressed with the facility – cleanliness, friendliness of staff and vet herself, who was professional, knowledgeable, and caring. I was taken in promptly even though they had squeezed me into their day and everything was explained. I would not hesitate to use Vergennes Animal Hospital in the future.
I have used Vergennes Animal Hospital for decades–ever since one of my dogs had to be put down on the weekend and they were the on call doc. They have consistently been excellent in treatment a plethora of our pets! Thorough, understanding, realistic.
Dr. Becca is amazing. She gave us a very detailed exam and then followed up by calling us a few days later to check in. The ladies at the front desk are awesome! They are easy to talk to and very organized. I drive 30 minutes from Burlington to go here when I could easily go to a vet in the area where I live, they are that amazing. Thanks for the incredible service.

Vergennes Animal Hospital is such a wonderful place. Everyone is patient, kind, and concerned for my dog’s health. I drive over 40 minutes to bring my dog here because of how wonderful the staff is.

I love everyone who works here! Everyone is really responsive and helpful. The Vets listen and always offer multiple treatment options and explain them well. I really appreciate this as I have had other Vets just tell me what to do as if there was only one answer.

Called and ask to take a new patient. They immediately said yes and took my sick dog with in an hour. The doctor called me in about an hour of seeing her. He was kind and very knowledgeable! He had her feeling better and on her way back home that same afternoon! The vet tech’s are sweet and very helpful! They are now my forever Vet! Highly recommend

The staff and vets are incredibly nice. We were an hour late, due to writing down the wrong time, but they got us in right away. The atmosphere is welcoming, and everyone certainly knows what they are doing.

I have been bringing dozer there since he was just a few months old .I would not being him any were else .he was a biter and they always had patients with him .they have always treated him and always have gotten a call back to see how he was doing .this place is the best and the people that work there are the nicest people ever.how many vet places to people go to were the doctor or nurse or receptionist take the time to come and say hi to your 🐕.love this place.

Lovely, extremely clean and fresh smelling office. Staff was super efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. My dog loved everybody. This is our new vet now!

Annual check up for two dogs. Dr. Carrie is tops–great with animals, knowledgeable, thorough.
We always get excellent care and service at VAH and will never go anywhere else as long as we live in VT. Rates are reasonable and the staff and doctors have always been extremely kind, accommodating, and they truly care about my pet. I also appreciate that I’ve never once felt pressured or shamed into any treatments and I always feel empowered to make my own decisions for my furball. Great place.
Vergennes Animal Hospital takes wonderful care of house pets. Recently my cat needed quick attention. They were able to see her right away. All the staff there are very professional and answered all my questions about post visit care.

Can’t say enough good things about the skilled and caring staff at Vergennes Animal Hospital. They have taken the absolute best care of my two dogs and throughout their long lives. End of life care for an animal is a particularly difficult time and yet I felt so supported and lucky to have Dr. Mark and the rest of this amazing staff at my side.
